It looks great but here is one major flaw, it uses it's own proprietary operating system. I would have thought by now Garmin would have given up on anything that's not Symbian, CE or windows mobile

Rumour is that the Nuviphone is due out 1st quarter of 2009 in AU.

This is going to be my partner's new phone, whether she likes it or not ;) She can then get rid of her ipod and mobile phone!

It does appear that there will be a number of models but no news on the difference between them at this point in time www.garminasus.com

Has anybody had much to do or heard of the new Asus nuvifone G60 GPS Smartphone it sounds and looks good,but it does not state what GPS Chip set it has or what OS in installed

It is not an Asus Nuvifone, even though they manufactured it, it is in fact a Garmin Nuvifone.
