View Full Version : Magellan Explorist 600 route limitations HELP REQUIRED

I recently went on a 2 day hike where my route was planned using Magellan Vantage Point software then transferred (cut and pasted into the respective route folder on my 600) to my GPS.

1/4 of the way through my first day hiking I realised that only 49 legs of my original 156 legs was showing on the uploaded route. It came to my attention after viewing the second days route that the GPS could only handle 49 legs (route points) per route.

Surely there must be a way of adding more route points (greater than 49) to one route file so you can determine the distance remaining without having to open up other route files comprising of the overall route.

If you can have thousands of track points in a track file is there a way to create a track file and use it in a similar way to a route file to accommodate hundreds of route points in a single file?

Does anyone have any other options?
