Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get topo mapsets for Mongolia which could be loaded onto a Garmin Vista HCx. I'm heading off to the far west & the Altai Mtns, right near the border of Mongolia, China & Russia.
Tks Jamie

I think you would be lucky to get a paper map. Best bet would be a Google search. Good luck

Thanks for your help guys. I've already accessed some paper maps from the TPC series. These are the Tactical Pilotage series & cover about 80% of the globes surface. They basically are designed for military pilotage & show relevant points for them (powerlines etc.) At 1:500,000 however they also provide reasonable terrain maps showing most of the gross terrain features, if lacking in fine detail. Its worthwhile to know of them if you ever want to get maps for obscure places.
I was actually just seeing what kind of topo maps for GPS were available.
