Considering buying a MOOV A470 to replace an aging HP rx5965 has anyone tried to unlock one of these models. It is relatively new but can't find out if it is Windows based. Any info greatly appreciated. Will be using it on a Motorbike so the supplied mount is of some concern as well.

I see you have popped the question on GpsPasSion. :)
The old Moovs were yukky! This one probably is too.

Seems no reason why 'MioPocket' or 'MioLite' wouldn't work though.
You'll need to work out the 'Cobia' file name though. Not difficult ... as the how to's explain.

Seems the A470 'Cobia' file name is:

Just found out today that Mio are doing trade-ins for these two models. I'm considering sending in the ol' C520 for one.

Note the A470 is a pre order.... Well was earlier today.
Edit: Further searching on the internet shows there is better pricing available without trading in the old device....

I am considering buying the A470 as I like the screen size and it appears to be cheap ($169 cheapest, $199 at Supercheap Auto), I want to load other programs like OziExplorer as I do a lot of outback 4WDriving ... Any advice would be appreciated .. Jim :mighty

Jim, all the information you need to "Unlock" your device to enable you to run Oziexplorer etc is available on the gpspassion website. Just need to do a little reading.
Cheers.
