I have had a Garmin 60Cx for a few years which I use in my 4WD. I also have an ASUS EeePc with a GPS receiver. I am using OziExplorer on the ASUS and the moving map function works quite well. I now have a single cab 4WD and with the limited space it is difficult to find room mount the ASUS. Is it possible to purchase a touch screen that I can add to the ASUS so as to have a better view of the moving map display? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi

Depends if the EEEPC has a video out. It is a 15 pin socket usually to the side of the EEEPC, looks like a 9 pin serial connector. You will also need a spare USB port and provide power to it.

Did just that with my netbook, I made sure I had a vga out port when I purchased the unit. Now I have an 8" touchscreen on a flex mount in the car. When running CN + Nroute around town, its awesome having an 8" incar nav :hatoff
