If you have a waypoint or track and wish to have an image, audio, video or text associated with it you can. This is a great feature to add for recreational or competition purposes such as geocaching or racing.

If you set a proximty alarm for waypoints, the alarm can be set to a distance from a waypoint so that as you get closer to that waypoint an alarm will appear or be heard, plus any associated file, such as mentioned in the video below (image, video etc) can be set to appear as well. Thus, what you get is a proximity warning as you approach a waypoint and then the associated file running at the same time.
