This quiery came from our online shop. If anyone can answer it, go ahead :)

Hi I'm not sure if you can help me but thought I would ask. I have a tomtom910 and
wanted to know if it was possible to download maps to it for 4x4 tracks and walking
tracks. Its a good system for cities and towns but I want to go off road
occasionally.

Apart from some features, like playing music and displaying a self-created photo-album, all the 910 can do is navigate and display the TomTom vectorised road-maps.
The 910 cannot handle (self-created) maps in another format i.e. *.png or *.jpg, like i.e. OziExplorer or Fugawi.
So if the provided tomtom maps don't display 'off-road' or hiking paths, that info won't be available.
Furthermore, it's a dedicated 'on vehicle' unit. It's Use as a handheld is very limited.

Pity you cant use other software or maps, a 20gig hdd will hold lots.
