Hi,

I have the 2005 NATMAP program installed on my PC. How can I export the maps and use them in OziExplorer?

Will OziExplorer allow me to upload them to my GPS or is this only for waypoints and routes?

Thanks,

i got natmap 2003. what i did was find the *.map reference files for the individual natmap ecw maps.

found these on the ozi home site i think.

then once the map file path and map image path were set properly in ozi configuration all was ok.

i think ozi is only for waypoints and routes. i dont think you can upload actual maps yet.

...the 2005 NATMAP program...Which version do you have, Standard or Premium?

either way, you can find the OziExplorer calibration files here (http://64.71.184.220/eng/aussie.html).

2005 StandardHere is the calibration files from OziExplorer (http://64.71.184.220/xtras/natmap_raster_standard_2005_mapfiles_setup.exe).

Once you have installed the calibration files in your Ozi Maps folder, you will be able to open the map images straight from the CD. No further "Export" required.

Thanks to everyone for their assistance!

I had a play with OziExplorer last night, but it looks like I need to pay mucho dollars before I can play with it for real! :) (by which I mean, get all the import options...)

Is it worth the expense guys?

Is it worth the expense guys?Yes

You won't reget getting OziExplorer. The variriety of maps that it makes available for use is huge, and it's a very flexible GPS data manager.

You could try using the trial version, (which is different from the demo version). Download the map file from the ozi site, make sure you install the ecw dlls, and you should be able to open the files without the need to import them.

The 2005 Natmap files work well with Ozi, especially the mosaic one, as you never fall off the edge of the map.
