Hey guys,
Going to the UK in 2 weeks and it is a nightmare to drive around there so looking to get a gps to make it all a little easier. My question is if i buy a gps here is it possible to put English maps on my gps? Sorry if this is a common question but i just cant seem to find an answer anywhere. Thanks everyone!

Simple amswer:
YES
But it would help if you gave more detail.
Eg. I have a Garmin GPS60Cx.
Usually have OzTopo on the 2GB mSD card.
Use for walking, skiing & yacht racing.
In the car connect to the laptop & use OziExplorer or MapSource displaying OzTopo.
Recently bought City Navigator Europe from Nicko, see here:

For trip to UK, France Italy etc.

Michael is sort of right, but be aware some GPS bought here may not work properly overseas. What GPS have you purchased?

If you are just looking for a road navigating GPS (turn by turn guidance) then a TomTom bought in Australia can have UK and many other countries maps added..... for a price. Have a look here. http://www.tomtom.com/
