Garmin Etrex VistaC

I have an etrex vistac which displays "can't unlock maps" from an early unsuccessful attempt to load maps. While this dfoes not cause any problems as i don't use the etrex as a navigating tool its an annoying message that I can't seem to remove.
Any ideas?

Use Mapsource to send it an unlocked map tile from either Shonkymaps, Stevez OSM maps or Tracks4Australia. You'll have the bonus of some useful maps as well.

Alternatively http://cgpsmapper.com/download/ Sendmap can delete maps from your gps without sending new maps (i think).
