hi all this is my first post, (wish i found this site earlier)

yesterday boiught a gps mio268 seems great for city navigating but i also wanted to us is for offroad and camping etc,

i will try and refund the product today and maybe go with the mio 168plus which is a pda and navigator in one or perhaps the navman equivelnt( thinking ill install ozziexplorer) for use within the pda.

am i on the right track or would a dedicated pda and dedicated gps be a better option ?

any feedback will be greatly appreciated

Hi,

I have a NAVMAN (otherwise known as a Mitac Mio 168) on which I am running SmartST v2005 street directory software (probably be a better product in about 3 releases time - lots of bugs), upgraded from v2 and OziExplorer (a fantastic program with heaps of features, and lots of maps available for download, from various sources). I am quite happy with this setup, and also use some of the other functions of the PDA, but I mainly bought it for a GPS.

Regards,
Michael ;)
