Hi,

Im new to this fourm and have an Australian Aldi PWM-3501 GPS

It has been the most frustrating piece of equipment that I have come across.

I have accidentally formatted the disk thinking I was formatting the Card memory and now I have a useless GPS.

Is there any means of restoring the system ?

I have access to another identical unit will this help?

I wasnt that happy with the original system is there anything else I reload?

Thanks for you time

Regards

Ron

Hi RonM2610, I have merged your two posts (nearly identical) into the one thread.
Do you still have the orignal cd that came with the unit?

Hi Mienser,

Yes I do have the original CD.
Reading some of the threads I have been able to get back to the opening menu and I was able to load the new Q4a map but when I try to open the GPS it goes immediately to the media menu.

I cannot find the GPS.txt file to see where its being directed to.

Didnt reply to you earlier as I got home late and was loading new map.

Thanks for your help

Ron

You may need to re-create the gps.txt file.

Content is:

'\VDisk\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe'
