Australian motorists can access a new suite of apps directly from their car dashboard with the launch of Toyota Link, developed by leading connected mobility services provider Intelematics.

Owners of the 2014 Toyota Corolla Sedan, and the latest release Hilux, Rav 4 and Prado models will have access to the Australian version of Toyota’s App suite with more Toyota models to join the program in the coming months. Toyota Link will include five in-built Apps at the time of launch with additional apps planned to be rolled out later in the year.

The first release of Toyota Link will include the following Apps:
Local search – Provides an internet-based search for local businesses and services.
Destination download – Send locations to your vehicle from the convenience of your home, office or compatible smartphone.
Fuel Finder – Find and compare their nearest service stations for fuel price and availability of premium fuels.
Weather – Live search of current and forecast weather conditions for any chosen location, direct from the Bureau of Meteorology.
Toyota Help – Access roadside assistance, Toyota Link Help and an operator facilitated Destination Assist service.
Intelematics has been supporting Toyota Australia with telematics services for more than 10 years and also developed and operate the Lexus Enform program on behalf of Lexus Australia, part of Toyota Motor Corporation Australia.
Toyota Link is the culmination of more than two years of development from the Intelematics team. Intelematics will act as the program operator and aggregator for Toyota Australia.
Speaking about the partnership Adam Game, Chief Executive Officer, Intelematics said “Toyota customers will benefit from internet-enabled services accessible directly from their dashboard. The delivery of infotainment services will provide an enhanced in-car experience, dramatically changing how they interact with their vehicles.”
“We expect Toyota Link will rapidly grow to become Australia’s largest connected vehicle program,” said Game.
“Australia’s most popular car, the Corolla, will now also feature the very best in in-vehicle technology with the inclusion of Toyota Link, one of the most advanced telematics programs currently offered in Australia,” said Toyota Australia.
“Our commitment to provide our customers with innovative technology such as Toyota Link is a key reason Toyota has been the country's leading automotive brand for the last eleven years.”
