Exclamation Pre-programmed Garmin cards Upgrade

This may sound strange considering I have been selling Garmin for several years but only today was I made aware that pre-programmed card versions of City Navigator and Garmin Topo cannot be upgraded, you have to buy a full version.

Apparently the Marine G2 charts you can.

Begs the question, if Magellan can why can't Garmin?

There might be a way around this but not official as yet.... You buy a new one I sell to you at upgrade price and I claim back the credit from Garmin. The only problem is at the moment, Garmin have no pricing.
