Here's one for you, Nicko.
This one was made in a different way to the ACT map, interested to see how they compare.

What's with the colour scheme? Bright red building and roads... my eyes hurt!
I wonder if the 3D Dem map changes the perspective a bit.

Hmmm, I haven't seen any obvious problems with it, but I can only view it with Land....
I'm working on a new colour scheme to save Nicko's sensitive retinas too![]()

I will send you one of the demo units Festy, when I get hold of one next week so you can test the maps on it.

I don't have the Comp Land software on my PC. All I'm doing is taking the map and copying it to the map directory on the Aventura. I got all the other maps turned off so it is the only one running. It looks like the Aventura is not reading all the map levels. Those errors pic I post look like the detail level you would see at the 5km level. Shouldn't be showing like that at 300m. The colour seems to be fine on the Aventura. The yellow can be a bit hard to see but that's about it. You should be able to see that from my pics festy.
While researching on OSM maps. I came upon this tutorial.

I might try it one day, when I have a spare day or two.
This problem has emerge for me as well. When ever I import an ecw file into OziExplorer the created map file always has Nzgd2000 as the datum. This has only emerged since our mess around with the NZ maps a month or two ago. It appears that the Nzgd2000 is now the default datum whenever an ecw file is imported but I can not find a setting or file anywhere that causes this!! May have to report to Des (OziExplorer).Originally Posted by Wahroonga Farm

For some reason that I can't seem to remember, I didn't think anyone was interested in this so i didn't go any further with it...
I'll poke around and see where I got up to, and see if I can whip something up for you shortly![]()

I'd be interested in the exercise you were talking about in this thread to create the 1:100k ecw map with better image resolution to use on my my TwoNav Aventura.
I'd be very, very, very interested to have the ecw image of the NSW 1:25k ecw map with a good image resolution.
Is that still a possibility?
