Please change passwords

Which raises the bigger question?
Is it the password itself that must change?
What it I accidently changed to Tony's password?
We probably have a number of members who inadvertently have chosen the same password!!
Is it the act of changing the password that is critical to the process or the word itself?
Still do not see the point of a dozen or so currently active members changing when we have thousands of inactive & occasional members?

I am trying to find out how to do everyone. If everyone had the same password it wouldn't matter, except we all would know it But as far as the site is concerned it doesn't matter.

If you do manage to change everyone presumably it will generate automatic email to all members telling them their new password.
I hate learning new passwords!
Could I then change it back to the old one?
In other words, is it the password itself, or the change that is important?
